Chelsea and Nathan first met in 2011 through high school in New Zealand. They began a long friendship over the years, sharing music, jokes, internet memes, and letters from their travels across the world.
In 2016, Chelsea and Nathan decided to take the friendship further by finally getting together as a couple. They both took the leap, and Chelsea left Melbourne, Australia, to move in with Nathan in Dunedin, New Zealand. Since then, they have navigated major changes in their lives abroad and have spent the last decade building a life full of shared goals, spontaneous ventures, and hilarious memories.
After many years and adventures together spanning multiple continents, Nathan proposed to Chelsea in Marfa, Texas, on 1 November 2025, returning to a place they had both fallen in love with during a road trip back in 2018. It was a quiet, intentional moment that felt like the perfect full-circle highlight of their time together.
While their travels have taken them all over the world, there was no question about where they wanted to say "I do."
